“What time is it now?”

Learning to read a clock is a big adventure for children. But time isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the changing colors of the sky and the steady rhythm of every passing moment.

On this page, you’ll find a “Magic Digital Clock” that transforms real-time data into a living piece of art.

Let’s Find the “Secrets” of This Art!

This artwork is painted in real-time by a computer using the data of “now.” If you watch closely, can you see how the shapes and colors change?

The Background Color is the [HOUR]: Over 24 hours, the color shifts slowly like a rainbow—from the soft light of 6:00 AM to the deep blue of 8:00 PM.

The Number of Petals is the [MINUTE]: Every time one minute passes, a new shape appears with a “pop!” Once 60 shapes gather, the background color moves to the next hour.

The Pulsing Center is the [SECOND]: The circle in the middle beats like a heart, keeping the rhythm of every single second.

For Parents & Educators:
This interactive experience uses creative coding (p5.js) to visualize the abstract concept of "time." Beyond just reading digits, children can intuitively feel the flow of time through colors and geometry. It’s perfect for displaying on a tablet as a piece of "living decor" for a child's room or classroom.
